[토익영어표현] audit 뜻

audit 은 기본적으로
회계를 감사하다 라는 뜻이 있다.

회계사가 특정 조직을 audit 한다는 것은
회계가 제대로 (올바르게) 이루어졌는지 검사한다는 의미.


We have audited the financial statements of your company.
귀사의 재무표에 대한 감사를 마쳤습니다.

 

 

그런데 더 넓은 의미로 쓰이기도 한다.





1. 검사하다.

It helps you audit and understand the relationships you have had.
그것은 당신이 가져 온 관계들을
점검하고 이해할 수 있도록 돕는다.


2. 청강하다

I audited all his lectures and
he still doesn't recognize me.
그의 강의를 모두 들었는데도
여전히 내 얼굴을 몰라 봐.
